West Central Iowa | Have had that happen. Give Penicillin, and I know one time we took a cow AI rod and used some type of disinfectant to flush out her reproductive track. If the pig won't come out, it won't come out. Her milking will likely be less than expected/preferred but I have had them pass those before.
Even had a sow one time that I kept watching because we knew her due date but looked like she would have a small litter. Due date came and went, never saw her in labor. Thought she was open, but about 5 days after her due date saw a set of feet (she was not in labor though). Pulled out a HUGE single pig. Apparently she conceived one and it was too big to fit through the birth canal. That many days made it soft enough and her body finally worked it that far out. | |
