Subject: RE: Agrigold 6267

McLeod County, MN
Major racehorse. Back down on population, push fertility, spray with fungicide. Should come out of the ground like a rocket. It won my plot last year in a Wensman bag. Corn on PP. This year I have it in an LG bag and the wet weather and lack of drainage has been tough on it towards the finish line. Cant give an honest opinion on yield cause of variability in the plot. Grain quality is not that good.

If I had it in a field I would feel very comfortable with a final stand of 26-27k plants that were nice and evenly spaced. I would take the seed savings and do a fungicide app. It sprints to the finish line and dies real quick without it. Late season plant health is not the greatest as the stalk is cannibalized to produce the ear. Probably why it wins so many plots.
