Subject: RE: Hood mounted light bar that will work with cruiser 2

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I had an older RGL500 which was replaced by the RGL600 (both made by Raven). The 600 had a wireless remote otherwise they were they operated the same. Both were designed to be mounted outside on the hood. I preferred them over some other styles. They would work with any GPS receiver that would output NEMA signals at a fairly decent rate. Since the Cruiser 2 should be able to do such, I would think it could work fine with either RGL.

I sold mine a couple of years ago now that I have autosteer on many tractors but it worked fine for its intended purposes. Besides the standard AB straight line pattern, it had some others that I found very useful at times. Many users are not aware of these other patterns.

Sometimes I used the RGL to help me find the correct set of rows to pull in on when spraying. After that I steered manually down the rows. By using the SED (seed) pattern), the system moves over the swath distance from the last pass. This did require pushing a button as you got fairly close to the end. The new swath was computed from that point rather than from the original AB line. This means that any "creep" that had accumulated either from planter or GPS drift was compensated for on each pass.
