Now, now, Oregon is a Progressive state, at least the Western part. There must be a dozen craft breweries in nearby Bend Oregon if you are not a Bud Light drinker. And nearby Mt Bachelor is a big sky resort.
And where Madras is located they do not get much rain. It is more of a desert climate then the marine climate in the Willamette Valley.
