I can't think of a single reason I would want corn in a can, unless maybe I needed to break a window. We put 120 quarts in the freezer this summer. Lots of work, and I don't care about that or the cost because it's totally worthwhile to have GOOD corn when the snow is flying. I've got several hundred dollars invested in this sweet corn patch, but it's been fantastic and is going to give us at least 6 full weeks of fresh corn. It's fed lots of friends and neighbors, made some sizable donations to the Lord's Cupboard and some other places like the assisted living home where my grandma is.
