Your t8 or t9 should have enough hydro to run the planter no matter what size pto pump it has. They came with a 20 some and a 30 some gpm pump. The larger pump was required for older tractors.

When you hook it up be sure you connect the case drain line properly. This is the smaller hose that probally has a smaller diameter flat face connector. This must be hooked up to the proper case drain connector the minimizes back pressure on this line.

Hi Matthew,

I found out about hydraulics on these big planters the hard way this past spring with my White. We hooked it up and the guy before me used a pioneer coupler for the Case drain line. We hooked it to a remote thinking it was needed. When we energized that line, it blew the seal out of the bulk fill hyd motor. $400.00 mistake!

We added a case drain with a flat face coupler to my T9 last fall for our air seeder, so it should be ready to go.
