Had one about that size on a tree branch about five feet over my head outside my back door several years ago. The dog started barking when I went out the back door about 10:30 one night. Looked like the dog was barking up the tree and I told him there was nothing in the tree and shined the flashlight up and the main thing I remember was the face and the J of the tail hanging down. I promptly retreated to the house.
