NC IA | I'm out in the sticks by Clarion. Capable of doing this myself, but for the added insurance of having it done right, looking for a seasoned vet to put this all in.
I have a bid for exactly what you described STO (almost, less the monitor) for $7800, which includes machine shop planed and pressure tested head. Bulletproof cold kit etc. Says he has done hundreds of these and he's down by Des Moines.
There are other cheaper bids, but when they describe the work they do, they all leave out on or two things. Like the cheapest bid would change the studs, but just put the head back on as is, cleaned up, but no inspection.
There really isn't anything wrong with the truck now except the underboost code it threw. Still kinda on the fence about trading up to a 6.7, but then again, who wants to run def, and are the 6.7s going to be trouble free like my 7.3's always were? or just more of the same plagues that the 6.4 / 6.0 faced? | |
