West Tennessee | I'm not saying it's the "right" thing to do but we've done at least a couple of these at some point. Cross something that uses a similar sized boot and just replace the boot. Stack on a couple of those felt washer things. They seem to last pretty well. Not sure that they work as well as a boot but they have worked for us in the past. We've also greased them really often for a while until we could do something else. I know of at least two tie rod ends that we've been running for over 4 years with one or the other of the above fixes. | |
