I'd assume you have a breaker panel, and also have several 120V circuits for receptacles and/ or lighting? If so, you should be able to get a couple tandem breakers to free up space for another double pole breaker for the AC unit.

A tandem breaker lets you run 2 - 120V circuits out of one breaker space. You do need to be careful if you have shared neutrals, however, so that you don't overload the neutral.
