Shouldn't all guards be replaced along with the knife, same time? Excuse me if I am wrong, but shouldn't guards have an edge on them where the sickle slides to aid with cutting? Mine no longer do if so.
When things are short for time ,A 4 1/2 grinder will put a edge back on the guards
