I think I would throw a fit at the dealer. Ford has saved a bunch of money cheapening up the cabs, and they need to give a little back.
I was shocked when I shut the door on a new Super Duty at a farm show, way lighter than a buddy's 99 or 06, even though the main cab structure looks identical. They are all getting that way though no matter the brand, cheap and thin. :(
