mn | Depends on the style you are getting. I just put a set on the other day. The low side adapter left the valves in the original port and the adapter. When you put the adapter on it pushes in on the valve in the original port then the one in the adapter becomes the new valve.
On the high side, the adapter had no valve in it and was designed to thread on far enough that the original valve still served as the valve with the adapter on. | |
