It is possible the load had something to do with the light coming on. With a load the engine will require more fuel, so it could have been running lean with the load, but not unloaded. Most likely it is just a coincedence. I would take it to a parts store or somewhere and get the codes read (code will still be stored even though the light went out). That way if it comes back on and you have the same code you know it is a recurring problem. Patrick
