Faunsdale, AL | Unplug the alternator or fuel solenoid wire.
If you have time though might want to get out a test light and see which of the black relays in the doors on the right side is still getting voltage to the control (small gauge ) wire that connects to the coil. If none still have voltage, you have one that has welded contacts.
We had the opposite problem on a 4895, could not get power to the relay that turns on the fuel. Ended up installing a jumper wire from some other relay that turns on with the key switch. Seems like the relay is in the rear most door at bottom left, but it's been a while. Could be confusing the starting relay because we had problems with that one too. | |
