The filter that I had leak this spring that was metal had about 10 hours of use, put on about 2 months before, so I doubt it was the orings cracking. The two glass ones that I had, the one had about 30 hours and started leaking, so when I was done at that farm I stopped at the dealer and got a filter, put it on in the parking lot and when I got home it was leaking already. They warrantied that one at least.
