| Ah, thanks for asking....
I ran a tedder across it that morning with a bit of dew on. The leaves were plenty dry, but the stems still had a bit of juice when twisted.
I rolled it up a little tougher than I would have liked, but with three days of rain coming I didn't have much of a choice. I checked a couple bales as I was baling it and it was betwen 28 and 35%. Right now, it's fermenting in the bale and the cores have seemed to hit a max temp of 118F. It won't keep, but the cows ate the first bale like candy. I'm going to wean calves next week so they will probably get the rest.
Go ahead, tell me again how I should have wrapped it in plastic! If I ever do that again I will!!!
