Subject: RE: Challenger CH 1200 corn head feeder width?

Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA
I have the measurements at the shop but I think the back face plate is about 76" wide. The opening to the auger is as narrow as 46" at the bottom.

I'm working on putting a 12 row challenger on a Lexion, and it looks like it will fit, but just barely. The difficult part of the header is the width of the top beam where it goes over the feeder house. It's not just a tube, it's a full 11" from the back edge of the top of the header to the face plate.

I talked to Bish last week. They don't do many challengers and had never put one on a Lexion. Maybe they've done a NH, but I got the impression they've only done a couple of challengers on to anything.

Is your head the same as mine? I think this one is about a '12 model.
