Subject: RE: SF2 Line Drift When Sidedressing or Spraying

Dix (Boyd), IL
No solution here but maybe hope (and hopefully not just adding to your frustration): I plant with integrated autotrac in a JD 8400. Then if I side dress, it's with the 8400 or an 8295r (integrated autotrac of course). I spray with a JD 4720 also equipped with integrated autotrac. Sidedressing or spraying I may have to shift my line a couple times per 40acre field if at all. I also use A+ heading usually 0 or 90. The only differences I can think of are that I no longer us an ATU, and I only use SF1. We have never even tried SF2 or RTK. I always have to shift my line on the first pass of the field to get centered up. But we have always gotten by just fine. Are you sure that all your machine and implement measurements are accurate and your TCMs are always calibrated?
