SE SD | Totally agree! Hold his feet to the fire, nothing is more aggravating than the landowner that shirks his responsibility of maintaining fences. If and when you buy land you should know the baggage that comes with it.
Agree with contacting the township board. Do everything in writing, keep a good record of dates
times, copies of correspondence and Names.
Build yourself a file.
I know there are a lot of people on this board, that feel if they don't have livestock they don't need to maintain fences. All I can say, you do it because it's the LAW. :)
If you don't like it, get the law changed.
