Is this rural water or pond? You already have quick connects that tells me you are thinking a bit outside of the box. If you can waste some water you can setup tanks that overflow use a pipe hose to overlow so its not muddy arround tank. I have a friend that has over 300 head of mother cows and I don't think he has a actual waterer on the place. He uses tuf tanks 110 gal has the water line buried uses quick conn. and overflows the tanks in the winter. Its a low cost operation for sure.
