Eastern ON | They should give you a map of the work area they want. This should be their boundary and nothing at all touched outside of it. Are there crops on the area? They should have a value per square foot for the work area for you PLUS any crops that you lose.
The access for them to get to this dig hole should also be compensated. As someone already mentioned if they can lay down a wooden access road its not as bad, if not make them pay.
The excavator crew should know to separate the topsoil, we've never had issues with that.
Also are they just simply coming off the road and going to the hole or are they staging/parking/portapotty things off the road on that land? A staging area should also be compensated.
Talk to your neighbors, do they have holes planned too? Find out what payments have been like, be informed. | |
