| My dad had a serious stroke 3 weeks ago yesterday. He has been in acute rehab therapy for the past 2 weeks but is barely improving. He has no use of his right arm and right leg and doesn't have his speech back yet. Once in a great while he will find a word but nothing consistently. His mind is still good and he is in good spirits, he understands most everything we and the nurses say. We are being forced to move him to a long term care facility to continue his rehab. Dad has worked hard all his life off the farm. When he turned 65 he retired and then bought the farm when his mom died. He has been a semi retired farmer since then. He is now 73 years old. My brother and I helping out whenever we were needed. Brother and I would just like to hear his voice again and hear his chuckles. Just asking for a small prayer if it is possible. Thank you. | |
