Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
How about "clearing bounds". This has helped me occasionally through the years when I didn't have a field boundary. I have boundaries for about half my fields. Most of the time for me having a boundary or not is a tossup. Clearing the bounds will usually discard those fliers that may have caused the map to "shrink" out of sight.

I hadn't thought about using a reference map with an Integra in such as situation but I believe that could work. I used the reference map feature a few times this Spring when planting. I use my Integra for variety maps, monitoring starter fertilizer, controlling spray and also steering on the planter rig.

For example I had occasions where soybeans were going to be planted in the same field that had parts already planted to corn. I brought up the corn planting as the reference map. The coverage map then showed green in the areas that were already planted to corn as well as those areas that were currently being planted to soybeans. Since the corn had not emerged at the time, this was helpful to confirm that my passes on the "edges" were correct.

Although not too likely to happen, auto swath would have kept me from planting soybeans in the areas already planted to corn.

The most common use for the reference maps for me would be switching products while spraying but the reference concept can be used elsewhere as well.

Note: the reference map must be from the same field. My idea of using it when planting would not have worked had the corn been in a different field.
