WC Wisconsin | The Pro-Mat Pasture mat has come out with a new thicker pad to go under the top cover. We redid 50 stalls last fall and put them in for the first time, cows seem to like them of course only 6 months old. We have DCC in our other 50 stalls and they hold up ok. Make sure you put anti-freeze in the mix when you fill them or they will freeze. Might want to check your brisket hieight as the waterbeds are much thinner compared to what you may have under the pasture mat for padding. Our one downside with the DCC is the cows have a little trouble getting their front foot out to get up when the stall surface become lower then the 4" chopped rubber we had in prior. | |
