Yeah actually I planted a good portion of my fields without scrapers on 2 rows and couldn't see any difference. But it was fairly dry conditions in a heavier clay soil, so not much to scrape off. I like the recommendations for the fixed non-rotating scraper. Less rotating/moving stuff the better.
