SW Indiana | Oh and I don't know how seed contracts work either Paul. Seems as if I've heard in the past they contract acres? Maybe pay a bonus at different production levels?
I highly doubt they are counting kernels and paying farmers by the kernel. They are telling farmers what to plant or giving them seed to plant that will produce small kernels and when the truck shows up in the fall its weighed just like any other place and a check is generated off the scale ticket. Again I don't know, just my thoughts. | |
