If you need to chop during the summer sorguhm Sudan will let you do that if you do the multiple cuttings. Forage sorguhm will give you more tonnage and can be very comparable to corn silage given the right varieties. If you plant a shorter season forage sorguhm you should be able to get it off by late summer. You can use your sorguhm Sudan as a one cut system if you want but you might be able to plant the forage sorguhm just as cheap because it takes a lower seeding rate.
