Hay Wilson in TX
Posted 8/30/2008 07:13 (#446684 - in reply to #445914)
Subject: That is a good rule of thumb!!!!

Little River, TX
Bermudagrass is a popular pasture grass, here. It is also a popular hay grass.
Fellow I used to cooperate with for equipment was mostly grazing, while I am 100% hay. He did as well producing grass as I did and he used a third of the amount of fertilizer I used.
I will say he did a good job with managed grazing, which is supposed to keep most of the nutrients in place and not concentrate it in one loafing area.
