whitehall maryland | Couple of dairy farms in the area had similar structure with free stalls around it. My dad told me it was a pen field feed barn basically a self feeder for dairy cows. Think the deal was penn field financed the barn as long as you purchased the feed from them. Agway had several steer barns with the same concept. Consisted of a big sealed concrete silo with a taper board feeder for silage then ag way sold you the supplements. Way before my time. | |
