Triticale is sterile I believe, so you could feed the grain but won't work to save for seed, "here" we can plant it early or late as the middle of July and still get good hay, I would prefer oats but it doesn't take the heat as well when filling in drowned out spots.


No, triticale is not sterile seed. Just patent or registered seed or whatever it is called when you can't plant bin run
