We have a 4840 power shift 8 gears not enough gears seems to slow or to fast. Like above said clutch into 8th or you'll get whip lash. Never had to work on that transmission. Also have a 4450 with 16 speed power shift love it has 19k hours and works every day never touched the engine yet but had to rebuild transmission 3 times in its life. Good tractors and no computer crap.
