It cost about 1.50 per bushel to build a bin. Typically you should be able to pick up 20 cents in carry and at least 30 cents in basis appreciation. I know there are other small costs associated with bins but you are also improving harvest logistics. There's not a lot of new items you can buy for a farm that will pay for themselves in 3 years.
