I can understand a small commission (like 1/4 or 1/2 cent) because a commercial is probably exchanging futures and needs to roll their own futures. For us, it is different. Charging 3 cents or 9 cents is a joke, imo. scalping a customer is never good practice.
On June 29, close on ck-cn was -4.25. A -15 ck basis was rolled to July making it -19.25 cn. Its the same price, so farmer nets same. | |
