CIL | We run a converted old glenco soil saver. Replaced the back chisels shanks with DMI ripper shanks and run 7in points 12-13" deep. Used to pull it with a 4450 for many years but then only about 10" deep. The soils you have would make it more difficult, but it could be an option. We chop our stalks, then run the ripper. Disking would also work ahead of it too. We also re-enforced the frame of the glenco and swapped out some of the frame's bolts for larger ones. Have you dynoed your tractor recently? | |
