What do we learn our previous generation?
What do we teach the next and next generations?
Will next generation be able or want to farm., how will they afford $ million dollar combines with $4.00 corn

From history we learn that we make the same mistakes over and over , that no matter how important one is or thinks they are when you are gone only a handful of family/friends will really remeber you in 2 yrs., and for farmers MSB penned the best life lesson. Expansion/growing the farm is great if you don't go broke trying to do it or lose your family/friends in the process
Teach- Family and an occupation that you enjoy is everything and too it honestly with integrity
Corn yielding 400 bu. an acre @ $4 will allow new combines to be purchased for $1 mil. but very few will farm full time--either hobby farms or mega operations ...... thinking back too the big farms of the '70's era around here and not many kids have carried them forward....
