Agree , a lot of aggressive farms did not survive the '80's


And others got a nice big write-down from Farm Credit and are right back at it today. Will be interesting to see what the future holds. 

I was born in 68 so I was a teenager during this time and not raised on farm, but in a farm community. Never heard of Farm Credit writing anything down around here. Here it was SBA.


At the time ('80s), it was PCA and FLCA ..........Production Credit Association and Federal Land Credit Association and they were separate entities with shared administration. They've since reorganized and now use the Farm Credit as the umbrella name.
