Subject: thinking cover crops while it is raining

sc kansas
I will have dry land corn that will be harvested in mid August and will plant beans next year. Then DC wheat in to the bean stubble . What would be a good cover crop to plant into the corn stalks before the beans in 2017? I would like to have it freeze off so would not have to spray to kill it but tell me if im wrong. Give me ideas on what to try for a first time to cover crops. Here in SC Kansas
