SW MN - mt. lake/windom
The most important question that needs to be answered is: What value will this controller add to you? If you are custom feeding and there is no increase in added premium for this controller, simple answer is no don't do it. If you own the pigs you need to determine if its a tool that generates value over time or is it a toy. I've installed cameras, web based alarm systems remote monitors capable of data logging and they all ended up being toys that were used 2 months - a year and now don't add value. The only real value I gained was knowledge during the toy period. If your goal is to be the best herdsman possible or train the best herdsman, then the toys will share information to increase your knowledge base of whats happening in a dynamic setting like a barn housing live animals. just my thoughts.
