I have 3 different type of covers planted from last fall. Annual rye in any type of soil, dry or wet and I mean wet has a great stand and even in some very wet areas still looks pretty good. Could this be because of the roots? Crimson clover and rape it seems do not like wet feet what so ever. All this on rented land that some day will be houses or warehouses, so no drainage help. Cereal rye it seems is pretty much like the annual rye. Will be interesting this year to see if just one year of these covers help these fields.
