Just like the grains, we don't need an increase in cattle numbers to remain profitable. In fact we need less of everything now just to turn a profit.
Land cost is the problem in cattle just like it is in grains.
CRP doesn't help either of them. It props up land values for both meanwhile other countries with cheaper land costs continue to expand at our expense.
