Subject: RE: Canadian wheat

Mather, Manitoba
I got talking to an older gentleman at a truck stop in Sioux City back 20 years ago. He remembered a time when corn and soybeans were thought to never been grown north of Nebraska. Now grain/silage corn and beans are throughout western canada. Soybeans are technically a "new crop" for western canada but some areas have been raising them since mid 90s.

Shorter season varities. As for wheat, it's grown right to the 6th parrael in Alberta.
