By USDA's own admission it's a "prospective" planting report, and the data is a month old already, lot's of things have changed since the data has been collected...right down to the people who planned on planting in a several cases..

It will be two to three weeks before I even come close to deciding what I'm going plant, and there is flash flood advisories in parts of the Southern states...again. Soybeans closed higher, the dollar lower. I'm pretty sure the US has the cheapest corn in the world right now. Nothing is over, it's only just begun. ;)

The USDA shot it's wad, the corn crop only gets smaller from here.


This data is before the bean rally,the corn bean ratio is close to 2.5-1 now,delay corn planting and you may see a shift to beans.
