Southeast Colorado | I posted this same thing in crop talk. We are at 21 right now and are expected to get colder in a couple of days. 70 and 80 with no overnight freezes in February set this deal up bad. Not sure what it will do to the wheat but it can't be good. We all knew the likelihood of finishing this crop off right was about ZERO. Heck ours would have been ready to harvest in the middle of May.............unheard of here. Still will be unheard of after this goes through. I think the wheat can grow back if it gets moisture but it will set the reproductive cycle all over again and the big yields are lost. | |
