North Central Illinois | My only point is that a 2012 type event will likely not yield the prices that we saw in 2012. Not saying a weather event of lesser severity than 2012 will not raise prices but I think people need to be realistic about their expectations. I think an average spring summer weather scare could run us up to $4.50 corn and $10 beans. It would take something more along the lines of 2012 to go much higher and even then I think we top out in that $5 to $5.50 range on corn and $11 to $13 on beans. | |
