A 250 is direct powered, no power supply needed.
if the planter has a speed pickup, it can be run through the 37 pin amp connector for speed, ours is wired through the harness for the speed pickup and still has the GPS puck, kinda nice when you constantly lose signal in the hills, just switch your speed input instead of setting a speed and trying to stay with it.
look at the wiring diagram in the book for the 250 monitor, and use a multi meter to check all the wires, ours was supposedly used with a 100 monitor before and I ended up having to switch some pin locations in the 37 pin plug, don't know if someone was lying or if they are wired differently.
