Subject: 7200 Deere PTO Pump

Farming in NW Iowa
I have a 13 row 20" spacing 7200 located for a friend. He wants to use it on a 1086 IH. It has a Rawson drive also and precision seed vacuum units. When converting to the pto pump could both the Rawson and vacuum fans be run off a bigger 540 pump? Apparently precision meters require more vacuum, like 15 to 20"? I found a used 540 pump but need a cooler and filter to complete the system. I was told by a John Deere mechanic it needs a minimum of 6 gallons for the vacuum motor, and a Rawson needs 3 to 4 gpm. The previous owner ran it with a 4455 and it was borderline on lifting the planter, he told me.
