Subject: 12 volt wiring question on Timpte hydroelectric doors.

NE Iowa
Can't get hydraulic doors to open on Timpte trailer. I have 12 volts in the lead wires coming back to the control box between the hoppers. Once we hook the wires up to the control box, the voltage drops down to 7 volts on the lead wires when connected to the terminals on the box. We figured we had a faulty control box that was shorting, so we switched control boxes with another trailer that had everything working. We still have the voltage drop when switching boxes. Hooked battery charger directly to the control box and doors function then, so loosing power or have a bad ground issue somewhere between control box and front of trailer is my thought. Thoughts or suggestions?
