I also have seen the valve lash cause this.
Same here, on several small engines where valve seat / valve face wear causes the valves to get tight. They run fine cold, but as the valves heat up and stretch, the valve clerence goes to 0 or actually holding the valve open. result is they will not idle. Sometimes causes a chirping sound in the exhaust when warm. |
