Subject: How to move a 16 row 3 point strip till rig

New Brunswick, Canada
A friend and I are contemplating buying a folding 16 row strip till rig 500 miles away. I have a tilting 22 ft gooseneck and his is a 20 ft fixed. Is it reasonable to leave the row units on and disassemble one of the hinges? The owner said it arrived as a collection of row units with the tool bar separate but assembled. My M18 fuel impact would take the row units off fast enough but they look awkward to handle to try and strap to a pallet.

He has access to a dock where we can pull up parallel with our trailers back to back and he can back the unit up the ramp and set it down unfolded. The overhang would be 3 feet past the end of my trailer (or if I put the knife edge back on about 18" overhang)

It appears to be far too tall to move while folded unless you had an implement carrier.

Any tips or experience?
